As the Conference and Events Operations Manager, you will lead the operational delivery of events from planning to completion, ensuring seamless execution and exceptional guest experiences. You will oversee a dedicated operations team, manage event setups and service delivery across the hotel's large conference and event spaces, and collaborate closely with the sales team, Executive Chef, and AV provider. Your role is to maintain high service standards, improve processes, and foster a positive, high-performing team culture.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop a dedicated operations team, creating a positive high performing culture
  • Oversee the operational delivery of conferences, meetings, functions, gala dinners and events
  • Ensure guests are delivered to a consistently high standard, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction and attention to detail
  • Work closely with the Conference and Events sales team to ensure a seamless transition from event planning to operational delivery
  • Collaborate with the Executive Chef, Sales team and AV provider to ensure all event requirements are delivered
  • Manage event setup, serviced delivery and operational requirements across the hotel's conference and event spaes
  • Identify opportunities to improve processes, service standards and the overall event experience
  • Lead by example and support the team to deliver exceptional service

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a Conference and Events Operations Manager role or similar leadership role
  • Experience managing events within a large, high-volume operation
  • Strong leadership and people management skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Excellent communication skills
  • A genuine passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences
  • A collaborative approach and the ability to build strong relationships across departments
  • THe flexibility to work across a variable roster, including early starts, late nights, weekends and public holidays when required.
