This position is part of the Sales & Events team, responsible for reactive group sales attached to events and weddings. The Events Executive prepares all event documentation, coordinates with hotel departments and customers to ensure consistent high-level service throughout pre-, during, and post-event phases, administers contracts, and inputs group bookings/rooming lists into the Opera booking system. The role involves direct client interaction and administrative work, requiring impeccable attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
Responsibilities
- To make a pre and post event call to organizers in order to maintain the relationship and to gain future business.
- Effectively manages customer budgets to maximize revenue and meet customer needs to expand customer base for group/catering sales opportunities.
- To liaise with the Revenue team to ensure that rooms strategy is implemented appropriately.
- To understand the product we offer, including event space, room types/layouts, capacities, and event/restaurant menus.
- To conduct site visits, including walk-in appointments and participate in FAM Trips in a professional manner, demonstrating a full knowledge of the hotel products and services, and tailoring the benefits to meet the guests’ needs.
- To ensure that all diary entries are up to date with booking status, date booking taken, client details and telephone contact details and activities up to date.
- To ensure forecasted event & group revenue is up to date at all times.
- To build group bookings in all systems involved and book individual reservations related to events, to ensure that routings and billing instructions are correct.
- To work every other Saturday and occasional evenings.
Requirements
- Previous experience within Hotel Industry preferred – Experience in Weddings & Events, Opera booking system, Sales Force and specifically in dealing with groups/catering and delegations are highly desirable.

- Passion for Sales and understanding of processes; can effectively up sell products and services; can bring a sale to closure

- A strong level of English, both written and verbal is essential for this role.
- High school diploma or GED; experienced (1 - 2 years of experience) in the Reservations/ Event Booking Center or related professional area.
