This role is responsible for supervising the implementation of all stadium Hospitality infrastructure requirements and technical operations across all stadiums of the FIFA Women's World Cup 2027™, and later assuming a fixed position as Rio de Janeiro Stadium Hospitality Operations & Infrastructure Venue Manager during tournament time. The manager will work closely with the Official Hospitality Provider and FIFA's stadium operations and infrastructure functional areas to ensure contractual and requirements compliance. Key duties include managing operational readiness and delivery of hospitality programmes, ensuring infrastructure readiness, overseeing on-site management of the Official Hospitality Provider and volunteers, validating operational plans, and ensuring excellent service to FIFA Affiliates. The role also involves handling all hospitality-related issues on match days and reporting daily to FIFA HQ.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the management and operational readiness and delivery of the Affiliates and Commercial Hospitality programmes, reporting duties, maintenance/creation of operational and infrastructure documentations, etc;
- Ensuring Infrastructure readiness and maintenance services of Hospitality areas, in close cooperation with the FIFA other functional areas, the Official Hospitality Provider (OHP) and Stadium Authorities;
- Responsible for the on-site management of the Official Hospitality Provider (OHP) and their suppliers, and Hospitality Volunteers;
- Checking and validating the Operational plans from the service-providing departments to Hospitality (Cleaning and Waste, Security, Medical, Signage, Transport, Fan Operations, Accreditation, Power, IT, TV, ticketing, etc.);
- Ensuring excellent service to the FIFA Affiliates on site, overlooking the set-up and readiness of their facilities, monitoring service delivery from the Official Hospitality Provider (OHP) from the set-up phase through to match day delivery of services;
- Ensuring contractual deliverables to the FIFA Commercial Affiliates and to the Official Hospitality Provider (OHP);
- Overall on-site hospitality guest management;
- Ensure service consistency throughout the different hospitality programmes across all matches in the venue;
- Validating all on-site hospitality directional signage;
- Ensuring Health and Safety regulations are strictly observed and respected by the Official Hospitality Provider (OHP);
- Ensuring Hospitality guest numbers are updated and shared with all relevant FIFA stakeholders;
- Ensuring that all stakeholders are appropriately accredited. Manage the distribution of SADs (supplementary access devices) to all relevant functional areas, restricting access to hospitality areas as needed;
- Ensure the catering service runs as expected in the Affiliates and Commercial Hospitality programmes;
- Handling all hospitality related issues on Match Day;
- Attend the FIFA Daily Coordination Meeting at the Venue and hold daily Hospitality Team Meetings with the Official Hospitality Provider (OHP);
- Reporting on a daily basis to the FIFA HQ, reporting issues in good time.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or similar level of education in Event Management, Sports Hospitality Management, Project Management, etc.
- Minimum of 5 years of work experience in stadium hospitality or venue management, managing several venues simultaneously, preferably for major sports or entertainment events;
- Proven experience with event overlay (including provision of temporary power and water), ticketing, dressing and signage, catering, logistics and security operations;
- Proven experience managing multiple service providers, particularly for Technical services, Cleaning and Waste services, Security Services, Access control Services, Accreditation, etc;
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
- Strong customer-service attitude, even when under pressure;
- Ability to work independently and in a team across simultaneous work streams;
- Exquisite organizational skills;
- Ability to lead, manage, and motivate a team.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English. Additional languages considered an asset.
- Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio & Project) and planning software and online collaboration tools;
- Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and literacy of architectural drawings.
