The Events Coordinator will collaborate with the Events Manager to plan and execute all aspects of on-mountain events at Revelstoke Mountain Resort. This role involves event administration, coordinating with internal departments, managing budgets, overseeing on-site execution, and post-event evaluation. The coordinator ensures smooth operations and delivers high-level guest service.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Events Manager to develop event plans, ensuring all details are carefully considered and executed.
  • Assist with event administration, including managing event logistics, coordinating vendor relationships, and maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Work closely with various internal departments to ensure seamless event operations, such as coordinating with the Food and Beverage team for catering and the Marketing team for promotional materials.
  • Support the Events Manager in managing event budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Oversee on-site event execution, addressing any issues that may arise and ensuring a smooth and memorable experience for event attendees.
  • Assist in post-event evaluation, collecting feedback, analyzing data, and identifying areas for improvement.
  • Deliver the highest level of guest service by providing a welcoming, responsive, and positive experience to all guests.

Requirements

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work collaboratively with team members, volunteers, vendors, and event attendees.
  • Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to adapt to changing circumstances during event planning and execution.
  • Proficient computer skills, including knowledge of event management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Part-time 2-4 days/week
  • This position may require work on evenings and weekends, depending on event schedules.
  • Physical stamina to handle on-site event setup and coordination.
  • The ability to lift and carry event materials and equipment as needed.
  • Proficient skier or snowboarder, able to confidently move around the mountain in a variety of terrain and condition.

Nice to have

  • Previous experience in event coordination or related roles is preferred.
