As Marketing Events Manager at Volue, you will shape the strategy behind the European event portfolio, deciding which events matter and what each should achieve. You will lead the planning and delivery of flagship Volue events and priority third-party industry events, partnering with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Marketing to define goals, audience, content, and follow-up. You will manage budgets, suppliers, and vendors, and measure event performance to drive pipeline, customer retention, and market insight.
Responsibilities
- Own and evolve Volue's European event strategy, ensuring every event supports clear business objectives such as pipeline growth, customer engagement, retention, customer learning, and brand positioning.
- Lead the planning and delivery of flagship Volue events and priority third-party industry events, creating professional, high-impact experiences for customers, partners, prospects, and internal stakeholders.
- Partner with Sales, Product, Customer Success, Marketing, and regional leaders to define event goals, audience strategy, messaging, content, speaker plans, and follow-up ownership.
- Manage budgets, timelines, suppliers, agencies, venues, sponsorships, and event organisers, ensuring strong operational delivery and commercial value from each investment.
- Measure, report, and optimise event performance through lead generation, pipeline influence, customer insight, stakeholder feedback, post-event follow-up, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Significant experience leading B2B event programmes or event strategy, ideally in technology, energy, SaaS, industrial, or similarly complex markets.
- Ability to translate business priorities into clear event strategies, audience plans, formats, content, and measurable success criteria.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with confidence influencing senior colleagues and aligning Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Success, and regional teams.
- Fluent German and English communication skills, with the ability to represent Volue professionally across European markets.
- A proactive, structured, data-informed, and creative mindset, combined with strong project management, vendor negotiation, budget ownership, and willingness to travel across Europe.
